For the first time in its history, as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, the National Social Care Conference took place online in 2020. The virtual event focused on recognising the extraordinary efforts of social workers and care workers who’ve continued to provide critical care and support throughout this extremely challenging period, and on looking ahead to re-stabilising the sector, taking forward positive new practices and working together to build care services fit for the future.

Although we were unable be bring our colleagues together in person, the virtual nature of the conference did mean that many of the workforce who would usually have been unable to attend, were given the opportunity to participate in the events and to benefit from the conference experience.
