The ADSS Cymru Members’ Summer Festival is a virtual event for our members and invited guests from across strategic partner organisations. It is an opportunity for the leadership of social care in Wales to reflect on and discuss the opportunities and challenges we face as a sector, to network with colleagues and share good practice that has taken place across social care and health over the last year.

The Festival will also focus on workforce well-being and will include discussions, opportunities to participate in activities that support your own well-being and to explore how you can support colleagues.

Notes and Guidance:

Partnerships

ADSS Cymru welcomes working in partnership with a range of external organisations, we also seek opportunities for income generation through sponsorship. However, it is vital that we maintain our independence and do not allow external partnerships to bring the name of ADSS Cymru into disrepute.  This section has been devised to ensure clarity and openness to all stakeholders.

ADSS Cymru seeks to:

  • Establish productive relationship with business partners
  • Generate income from those partnerships
  • Be open and transparent in its dealings with external organisations
  • Work on initiatives that do not compromise the independent status and reputation of ADSS Cymru
  • Work with organisations who are consistent with our values
  • Ensure no company/organisation can expect exclusive relations with ADSS Cymru or one that is designed to give that company/organisation an advantage over its competitors

ADSS Cymru endorsement / use of logo:

ADSS Cymru does not endorse or approve products or companies, a statement to this effect will be included alongside promotion associated with products (such as roundtable debates and ‘think pieces’).

No partner organisation should infer that acknowledgment of its support by ADSS Cymru represents endorsement of its policies, actions or products.

Any use of the ADSS Cymru name or logo by any other organisation must have prior explicit and written consent from ADSS Cymru. Press release which refer to ADSS Cymru cannot be issued without its prior approval.

ADSS Cymru will normally only endorse events and publications which it has written, organised, commissioned or where it is a partner with another organisation which is jointly producing the event or document.

In cases where ADSS Cymru does endorse an event or publication it is essential that:

  1. ADSS Cymru retains some control over how the logo is used on the relevant page/screen/website and how it relates to other logos (to ensure that its “premium” status is respected in design terms).
  2. Published ‘think pieces’ must be brand neutral while recognising the support provided by business partners
  3. Our logo is a fundamental component of all ADSS Cymru communication. To maintain a strong and consistent visual identity, it must be reproduced correctly at all time. (see separate sheet).

Exclusions:

  • ADSS Cymru will not offer for use or sale as part of any sponsor arrangement personal data, which it holds under the Data Protection Act or General Data Protection Regulation
  • ADSS Cymru insists on the retention of complete editorial control over its published work and, whilst happy to receive suggestions, does not allow sponsors to decide the content of publications, conferences, seminars or other events
  • ADSS Cymru will not work with or accept donations from organisations whose activities policies, aims or objectives contradict or distract from its own In particular, partnerships with companies involved in any of the following activities will be avoided:
  1. Criminal activity;
  2. Weapons or weapons systems manufacture, sale or distribution;
