In 2022, the Welsh Government commissioned ADSS Cymru to examine the use of interpretation and translation services in the delivery of social care and support. The report highlighted the need for improvement in several key areas and made several recommendations.
The Welsh Government has now requested a progress update on implementing these recommendations. ADSS Cymru conducted an evaluation of local authorities in Wales and has now produced this report.
This report describes progress in the two years since the recommendations were made and where further work is needed. It identifies opportunities for shared learning and good practice, which coincides with the establishment of a working group by ADSS to boost action to implement the Anti-Racist Wales Action Plane.
The report is available to download here.
