Welsh Government Rapid Review of Unpaid Carers’ Needs and Rights

ADSS Cymru has been asked by the Welsh Government to review the extent to which carers needs are being met, and their rights are being upheld, under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. The review follows an inquiry by the Senedd’s Health, Social Care and Sport Committee.

Book for an in-person or online focus group

Unpaid carers are invited to participate in focus groups run by ADSS Cymru facilitators where they can share their views and experiences. The views and experiences shared will be anonymised and shared in a report by ADSS Cymru will submit to the Welsh Government. The focus groups will run until the end of April.

If you are an unpaid carer in Wales and would like to book your place in a focus group, please contact jemima.redpath@adss.cyrmu. Online or in-person sessions are available. Please let Jemima know if you have any access needs.

Share your views in the short survey

We know the dates and times of the focus groups will not be convenient for everyone and we are keen to hear from as many unpaid carers as possible - young carers and adult carers. Therefore, we have a short online survey as an alternative way of giving your views. It will take just a few minutes to complete the survey. Thanks in advance for your views, which will be used to consider how the support available to unpaid carers can be improved.
