Social Care Wales are arranging three development days to share learning and practice around Managing care planning and assessment within the Mental Health Measure and the Social Services and Wellbeing Act.

In 2018, the Association of Directors of Social Services produced practice guidance to help the sector understand the interface between the Mental Health Measure and Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales)Act. You can find the guidance here: https://www.adss.cymru/en/blog/post/sswb-mentalhealth

These Development Days are for mental health managers and practitioners working in social care, health or integrated care settings to examine the interface between the two pieces of legislation, particularly around integrated assessments and care planning.

Attendees will be able to:

1. Explore progress on the practical delivery of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act and the interface with related Mental Health legislation, including the integrated assessment process.

2. Identify areas that are proving to be more challenging and any barriers to delivery.

3. Consider solutions to these challenges or barriers.

We ask attendees to consider in advance any particular issues they are facing or solutions they have developed to take part in group discussions.

The events will be held in the following venues and places will be limited:

February 15th Nant Y Ffin hotel in Llandysylio

February 19th in the Optic Centre in St Asaph

February 22nd in YMCA in Newport
