In reference to the report published by the BBC with regard to additional warehouse capacity being procured by Welsh Government to stockpile medicines for the NHS, a spokesperson has said:

“Negotiations are ongoing regarding additional storage capacity for medical devices and consumables. These are commercially sensitive so we are unable to give further detail at this point, but expect to be in a position to make an announcement shortly upon formalising a contract.

We’re putting appropriate measures in place to ensure any disruption of services to patients or supplies can be avoided, particularly in the event of a no deal Brexit. This involves testing well-established procedures to ensure health and social care services are fully prepared. Further tests are planned in the coming weeks.”
